Exciting News Part 3

That's right kids, your lovely artist has made a final final poster that took quite a long time to create. It's beautiful and I'm very proud. *Pats self on the back. Now for some well deserved rest. Designing is hard...

Exciting News Part 2

Ok so as a budding graphic designer, I have learned the ultimate lesson. Sometimes your vision is different from the clients and ultimately it is the client who decides what goes. The Our Town poster is completely different now and while I wanted to go a different direction (more ominous), I'm happy with what the end design looks like. What do you think?

EXCITING NEWS!

Ok so I don't know how many people actually look at my blog, but I have some exciting news! I am working on some poster designs for a production of Our Town. I just made a rough draft and I think it looks pretty good. I'm trying to convey the dark themes of the play along with the importance of the moon and surroundings. Tell me what you think if you're out there and you have a helpful suggestion!

The Figure in Space (FS#4)

Well here's another serious one... DRUM ROLL PLEASE!! I drew this actually with myself in mind. Sometimes I like to be in my own little box when I feel blue and the world gets dark. Sometimes it is good to stop and think inside the box. ONLY sometimes though! Never stay inside the box for too long because it's what's outside that makes us special. I created this piece with watercolor and a ballpoint pen.

Confined Space (FS#3)

Naturally when I think of a confined area I instantly see a hole. Next I see a prison, but not just any prison... a prison of the mind. Sometimes you feel trapped by someone else's choices and actions. I drew this with pens, maker, and color pencil. Wow this post feels serious... well I guess it fits the drawing.

FS#2 Messiest

Ready for the mess? Well here is how I like to play with marks on a page! Give me water color, pens, markers, stickers, glue, paper, and a leaf and I will make a mess! The collage that I created this semester was next to a drawing I did last year and because it echoed the colors of my scissor people, I decided to marry the two. They are living happily together in my sketchbook in a drawer now.

Harnessing Chaos Coming Up

Here is how my Harnessing Chaos project so far... I'm actually pretty excited about this! So enjoy my angry face!

FS#1 (Second semester)

Here ya go kids! I know I haven't posted in a while, but be ready for post overload!! Here is Friday sketch #1 from the second semester. It is called the process. I drew it based on the process of two people's lives on a subway car. From being a teen to growing old, these two have what I see as a typical life.
